Chladni Sans is an experimental physical variable typeface that explores the relationship between sound and written form. Each letter form was molded in sand and excited on a physical Chladni Plate and recorded into video files. Each letterform has a corresponding sound frequency that plays as the transformation occurs, resulting in a tool for audio/visual messages that phase in and out of sync. 

In addition to the Chladni-Sans web viewer, I designed a very limited set of specimen books. Since Chladni is a moving typeface, the book features an embedded video screen that illustrates its potential as an audio/visual tool for designers and sound artists alike.
